“In every dream journey, there comes a moment when you have to quit living as if the purpose of life is to arrive safely at death. You have to go after a dream that is destined to fail without divine intervention. You have to go big or go home.”
What a way to start this Sunday morning!
This is an excerpt from Mark Batterson’s book “Chase the Lion” that I’m reading on my YouVersion Bible app (love it!)
He shares a story from the Bible where the script gets flipped– instead of a lion chasing a guy, this guy Benaiah chases a lion … into a pit on a snowy day … and wins!
It’s a challenge I’m taking personally to make sure I’m not letting “big dreams” intimidate me or paralyze me into doing nothing (like what would happen if we ever had a stare down with a lion in the wild.)
Would I have the guts to chase the lion?
To be honest, I don’t know that I would. But I’m learning that I’m not alone in the chase.
“If God is for me, who could be against me?”
Let’s go chase the lion today!
